PS5 vs Xbox
The console wars is a type of war among players deciding which console is better, the PlayStation or Xbox. This has been going on for roughly 30 years, ever since the early to mid ‘90s. It then started spiking right when the PlayStation and Xbox were first introduced. Ever since then, everyone has been arguing which is better when it comes to which console is better. It died out sometime after 2015 but it then started spiking again.
Last winter, we were expecting two brand new consoles: the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X. Every serious player is excited about the release of these consoles, but what is everyone going to buy?
With the PS5, there are 2 different versions and 2 different prices. With the standard version, it’s $499 while the digital version is only $399, only if you don’t mind going discless. The PS5 has 60fps and in 4K quality so it’s like you are watching a movie. The details of it are extremely advanced with dual shock vibration and nice comfort to the controller. With the PS5, you can also have monthly free games, unlike the Xbox. the PS5 is also backwards compatible to PS4 games
The PS5 has already been released as of Nov. 12. There has been a recent debate on which of the new consoles to buy this holiday season. Is it the Xbox Series X or is it the PS5?
The Xbox Series X is the way to go for this upcoming Christmas.
The traditional price of the brand new Xbox Series X is around $500 which comes with the console of course, an Xbox Series X console, controller, Ultra High Speed HDMI cable, and power cord are all included with the purchase of the console.
The Xbox Series X will allow players to play any game that has come out on any previous Xbox console before, like the 360 and Xbox One.
According to multiple sources like Forbes, CNN, IGN, etc the Series X has been proven to be able to run more games better than the PS5 is able to. Also according to the other sources, the Xbox Series X has more usable space, 802 GB versus PS5’s 667.2 GB, which is the difference of a few downloaded games.
When it comes to subscriptions for games on both consoles, there is no doubt that Microsoft’s game pass is better than what Sony has to offer, according to Forbes.
The PS5 is by far the larger out of the two consoles which makes it harder to find a place to put in traditional gaming setups, so the Series X is easier to put into the smaller gaming setups rather than the other console.

As of current, the difference is rather not of quality, it’s rather the switch to the console and how many issues it had at launch. As of September 2021, the Xbox Series X has had more news coverage for all the wrong reasons, for instance, the Xbox caught on fire, and software shutting down out of nowhere. But PS5 wasn’t out of the woods either, quote “Reports of PS5 issues include crashes, software issues, a frustrating whine, and even systems being bricked.” it’s on both ends but Xbox tarnished the launch with the fires. So the graph is very much correct
