Forza Horizon 5

A 2016 Lamborghini Centenario soaring above the Forza Horizon 5 map.

The sound of engines revving, the crowd cheering and your controller vibrating as you get ready to start your first race. In an instant, the game is on.
Forza Horizon Five is the newest installment in the Forza series, with games like Forza Motorsports focusing on professional racing and Forza Horizons focusing on exploring and street-style racing. With the latest chapter in the Forza story, you drift around Mexico’s most famous places and use national monuments as jumps, but just because it’s big doesn’t mean it’s amazing.
Every visual is perfectly crafted; nothing is out of place. Every car is picture-perfect, just like the environment. From jungles to volcanoes, you could get lost for hours. The cars look and sound incredibly realistic, and there are so many of them to choose from. With endless challenges from jumps to drag races, you can never really finish the game. Once you get your dream car, the fun isn’t over. You can customize every detail of your car paint, tuning, anything that you could want. But like every new game, it comes with some bugs.
Forza Horizon Five is not a perfect game when it comes to playing it. It comes with many faults that make it frustrating to play at times. There are times that the game will stop all momentum and ruin points earned. In addition to that, The Eliminator, a multiplayer battle royal-themed mini-game, has problems of its own. After the number of players gets whittled down through losses and the storm, there is one final race with the remaining players. But in that last race, you always lose, no matter what place you were in before the game ended.
With the Nov. 17 hotfix, Forzasupport fixed many crashes in an effort to improve game stability, one of them being the bug mentioned before stopping momentum and ruining points, along with many other fixes to problems I wasn’t aware were in the game. For more information on the patch, Forza support is very informative.
After playing this game for about a week, I feel very confident in how this game will age. The graphics are stunning, the gameplay is smooth and I thoroughly enjoy playing the game bugs and all.
