In preparation. The night before the assembly STUCO members sophomores Aubrey Clanton and Spencer Mollet, seniors Gracie Keogh, Braylon Liebich, and Dennis Koomson assisted each other to hang a poster to set the theme for the winter assembly. ”We have work days leading up to it,” senior Gracie Keogh said.”

A moment to remember. At the end of the assembly, just before dismissal, sophomore STUCO member Elijah Kinley rolls out a poster asking freshman Kinzley Goff to the winter formal. It was also a way to promote the upcoming dance. “I’m pretty confident she would say yes,” Kinley said. “It’s a way to get out the information for the winter formal.”

Cheaters never prosper. Math teachers Torin Rung and Nathan Harlan competed in a game where the goal was to thaw a frozen shirt and put it on. The scripted game was used a metaphor. “We were trying to use it as kind of metaphor for life because we wanted to show everyone that even when you cheat, you still don’t always win,” Rung said.

Runner up. Students and staff played a game that required everyone to steal beanies off of each other’s heads. Senior Jordan Tran won despite a nervous start. “I was very excited and it was really fun,” Tran said. “I was very nervous at first but when we started to play, I was just trying to enjoy it.”

Down for the count. As punishment for cheating in the frozen shirt competition, Torin Rung and Nathan Harlan played against each other in one-on-one battle of the beanie game where they both had a chance to show the school their wrestling skills. “We’ve been working on a WWE bit for years, Rung said. “We’ve been trying to pull this off and we finally got our moment.”
