YHS Under Fire Procedures Friday

At approximately 10:04 A.M, Friday, fire alarms went off at Yukon High School due to a fire in a bathroom.
Staff quickly ushered students out of the school and into the surrounding parking lots. Shortly after evacuating the building, Firefighters, Police and Paramedics began to arrive at the scene.
The door to the bathroom was closed off and students reentered the building at 10:43 A.M. and proceeded with classes as usual with a lingering smell of smoke while exit doors were opened and supervised.
Shortly after students returned to class, Yukon Public Schools issued an alert informing students and parents that there was a “small fire in a bathroom.”
“All Students and Teachers are safe,” Yukon Public Schools said in their alert. “The Yukon Fire Department came on the scene instantaneously and put the fire out quickly.”
