The pumpkin spice latte that came out on August 24th, sitting on a school trashcan, after a student was unimpressed with the drink.

The Pumpkin spice latte is a peculiar thing, you either love or hate it. 61% of students said they like Pumpkin spice lattes and 25% are undecided according to a survey of students. I have never had a pumpkin spice latte and intend to change that. Hopefully, this article will shed some insight on those uncertain like me.
Pumpkin spice lattes have been raved about over the years, so I was pretty excited to try one.
“They are really popular, especially around this time because fall is starting,” Starbucks Barista and Junior, Natalie Guerra said.
When students were asked where they got their pumpkin spice lattes an overwhelming 78% of students responded with Starbucks, so that is where I set my sights.
I ordered a Grande Pumpkin Spice Latte, and overall the drink was underwhelming. For years I have heard people say how great pumpkin spice lattes are, but with all of the hype surrounding them, it fell flat.
When I took my first drink, I was immediately disappointed. It tasted like sweet coffee, barely any pumpkin, and no spices. I hope other coffee shops improve upon the recipe because there has to be something better out there. This can’t be the standard for great coffee, and shouldn’t be the best pumpkin spice latte I can get.
“I like them,” Guerra said. “I wouldn’t choose it as my first choice though,” and I can’t help but agree.
There is nothing special about them, I don’t dislike them, but it could be better. This is only my opinion on Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes, and other coffee shops could have better flavors than starbucks. So if you are looking for great pumpkin spice lattes try a local place and find what’s right for you.
